I love every aspect of this project. What a great way to use things up, try recipes that are new or you haven't done in a while, and I imagine it would save some money too. We really need to do something like this. Well I love those Pinterest perfect pictures of every kind of dried bean stored in a perfect glass jar it really is just wasteful if you're not going to actually use it. We have way too many things like different kinds of flours taking up space in our cabinets. Are you just picking random ingredients and then looking for recipes?
Its definitely helping me save money, which is also part of the project.
I'm trying to not have to move with much food, so I started with the things I most obviously had most of the ingredients or a recipe for and am working my way down to the backs of the cupboards (and there are lots of surprises!) As I go, I am also checking things for expiration dates and tossing those. I'm also combining things I have several of into one container. I used up some half full bottles of vinegar and some baking soda to clean the stovetop!
