wow! that is REALLY steep! is there an easier trail up the mountain too, or just the rock-climbing one?

We actually did take the hardest and longest route, but, even the easier routes abhor the switchback.

when you said there were scrambles, I was thinking something a little less vertical... :) it looks like a really nice trail, though.

we went hiking last weekend and (just like every year) I was reminded of how much I want to HIKE more. and how I always forget to get out and hike before it's winter time. Mike and I need to put some October-November hikes on the calendar.

It's rough for us in the Midwest because there aren't any really good elevation changes for hiking, just lots of prairie...
