Thanks, we're trying to have a chill night but I am rather stressed - it was a lot of money and that feeding/medication schedule is going to tie me to the house - but at least she's home and alive <3

oh yes, the super expensive stressful timed feeding + medication schedule SUCKS. I nearly lost my mind when Pearl was having so much trouble and couldn't eat easily or regain all that lost weight, and the chart ruled my life. I cried tears of joy when she gained that first precious ounce back. I hope the tube and other methods make a good difference quickly.

Hope Yoshimi has a nice smooth week home with her adoring mama!

Poor Pearl and you! Yeah, right now I'm like - okay, I can wake up at 6 and feed her, then go to brown bag, then come right home and feed her again, then go back to campus for grad orientation, then come right home for another feeding... all the time wishing I could be here every minute to make sure she's okay!

She's not totally out of the woods - especially since we still haven't solved the underlying problem - but the vet seemed hopeful.

Yep - four to six weeks. She actually ate some food tonight, but she really has to make up a lot of ground to be healthy again, so even if she is eating we will be supplementing with the tube.

Glad she is home! That is quite a regimen though...how long do you have to keep it up?

4-6 weeks for most of it. She can go off the antibiotics in two weeks and the laxative as soon as she... responds to it. If her blood panel on Tuesday is good she can go off the one for ammonia. The liver one is the most important and the feedings every six hours for sure.

I keep stressing and thinking I am missing a feeding or medication though! I'm glad I made the chart!

oh poor kitty! it's good you're so organized about this stuff. I do think, though, that the leaves on the collar are such a nice touch. it really shows that Yoshimi was in a Nice Place.
