At the same time I think that Bambi reinforces the unconscious belief of environmentalists that the only nature worth enjoying is wilderness - thus, poor kids living in the city have no access to nature - and that's just not true. First of all, there is no such thing as "wilderness" and second of all - any place we live, work, or play is an environment worthy of understanding as "nature."
