Steve Sansweet, Lucasfilm's Head of Fan Relations, talked about upcoming "Star Wars" events today at the San Diego Comic-Con in front of a huge crowd. He said that the "Star Wars" animated series is now scheduled to premiere in 2008 and the live action series sometime before 2010.
The animated series is set late during the Clone Wars after Anakin Skywalker has achieved the rank of Jedi Knight. "We've been spending the last couple of years building from scratch two new state-of-the-art digital animation companies, one at Skywalker Ranch and one in Singapore," Sansweet said. "The scripts for the first batch of shows have been completed, and Animation is hard at work on the first episodes."
Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Count Dooku, Palpatine, General Grievous and Asajj Ventress are expected to appear in the animated show.
Sansweet added that David Koepp's script for Indiana Jones 4 is a couple of months away. They are hoping pre-production can start at the end of this year or early 2007.

Which reminds me, we saw the Transformers trailer before POTC2 and at first I thought it was boring and then I thought about it and enjoyed the irony of "hey this is the highest robot technology we've got! how about you? SHIT!"
