Today is brought to you by poetry...
Jul. 23rd, 2010 02:41 pmEverything is wonderful in Bridget Land, but not so much in your world. This poem gave me a lot of strength in a time of need, particularly this line:
"What three things can never be done?
Forget. Keep silent. Stand alone.
The hill of glass, the fatal brilliant plain."
- The Book of the Dead by Muriel Rukeyser
Also,
"The thought manifests as the word.
The word manifests as the deed.
The deed develops into habit.
And the habit hardens into character.
So watch the thought and its ways with care.
And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings."
- Buddha
Keep being beautiful people and wonderful friends. The universe needs you.
