more lj stuff

ok, now - what ever happened to finding communities? It used to be when you searched really broad interests - lord of the rings or harry potter - the list would be topped by or include communities. Now it just shows people? I'm really confused :(

I've mentioned this case in Upstate New York a few times, but they finally sentenced the rapist who kept women prisoners for years in bunkers in his back yard (Boston.com story). Since he plea bargained he only got 18 to life, which, no matter how unlikely especially due to his age, means that there is a possibility of parole. That makes me sick. If they had actually prosecuted him he would have gotten a minimum of 125 years - life (25 years for each woman).
