Keep at it - I was there too! Too much pain is a bad sign though - remember to cross train to build muscle without bearing weight and make sure your shoes are right for you. My friend [livejournal.com profile] antarcticlust, who broke her hip running, needed to build up muscle from strength training and spinning classes before she tried again and both my injuries came from worn out shoes.
