See, that's the thing... that won't work either. Actually, if a million people signed a petition, it would actually have less impact than a million people protesting. At least the protest might get some token media coverage. (even the chance of that is slim at this point), but a petition would just get ignored. The president can only be impeached by congress, and most of them aren't listening either.
Unfortunately, we're powerless until the next election. A sad, sad truth...
