This is such an odd list, though. For example: Connecticut and Mississippi are both close to the bottom, butfor obviously different reasons. I don't really believe Wisconsin represents an actual average in the sense of being the most "typical," but rather a midpoint between extremes. A most average American state would indicate a much more homogenized nation than we really have. I wonder what the scoring categories were?
