Here's a new one I found today for Ghana:
"CLOTHING PROHIBITIONS: Wearing any military apparel, such as camouflage jackets or trousers, or any clothing or items which may appear military in nature, is strictly prohibited."

People from our office are in Ghana right now. It sounds like a very interesting country.

One of my dear friends from high school studied and volunteered there. Unfortunately she also contracted malaria there and died two years ago. She loved it there, she had such an affinity for the country and its people.
I was actually looking up Ghana on the consular notices because of her when I came across that interesting tidbit.

Hi Bridget--

For the life of me I couldn't remember which post you commented on or if I did, and I delete all my lj email. If you remember, will you let me know, because you gave so much good info.
I submitted an info request to Spherion today. I think they scared me off a little last time because my excell skills are not great. Which online tutorials were you talking about? There aren't any on their site, are there?
I ended up in Boston after foregoing an offer from UW Madison on my pHD applications (for English). Now I'm not sure what i want to do, eventually I want to go back to grad school, but I'm not 100 percent sure in what. I think I might request to work in the humanities offices or the library, if possible. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Betsy

Something like this for excel is really all you need: http://www.usd.edu/trio/tut/excel/

When I was studying up I forgot I didn't even have excel on my computer! Luckily one of my friends and his roomate both work in computers so they gave me a copy. Just playing around with it is a good start.

I applied to UW Madison the first time I applied for Phd programs (two years ago). Alas, no luck, but I will persist.
