Failures in the cupboard!
Alas, it was bound to happen - yesterday I tried to use up some Karo syrup (seriously, why do I have two bottles of this stuff?) and gelatin. Did you know that the Karo website recipe finder has a category for recipes that require a whole cup of Karo syrup? Clearly, I'm not the only one with this problem. Anyway, I thought the Champagne Sorbet with Raspberry Sauce sounded good for my book club meeting that night. Luckily, I live near a store so I could pick up some vanilla ice cream because I now have more of a champagne gelatinous blob in my freezer than anything resembling a dessert.
