(In order to do this I had to follow some different directions, since I still have the old layout, but if you're a smart cookie it's pretty easy to figure out)

1. Go to "Journal" menu, select "Journal Style".
2. To the right, you'll see what theme you're using, with a link that reads "Customize Your Theme". Click that link.
3. Scroll down a little ways, and you'll see that on the left side of your screen, you have multiple options to modify your theme. Click on the "Custom CSS" link, and it should load the options for doing Custom CSS.
4. From here, all you have to do is go to the "Custom Stylesheet" box, and type (just c&p):

.b-repost-item {display:none}

[if you already have custom css in that box, you can put this anywhere in the middle of it.]

Now people don't even have the option to post to Facebook and Twitter.

I am a little confused by all this. I see that I can not share my comment on this post (the twitter and facebook check boxes are grayed out) but above your post in the little menu with the favorites button and the next entry buttons etc, the "share this" button is still activated. I tested it and it was going to let me post your journal entry to my Facebook. (Does that make sense?) Is that just always going to be the case for public posts? Grr.

I think it's only effective if you post something, or edit a post, after inserting the text into the Custom CSS in your Journal thingie. So, this "fix" is not retroactive unless you manually go back and edit everything you've ever posted. It will only show up for things you post going forward. Which! Is better than nothing.
