I am always on the lookout for light light and nearly sheer tanks/camisoles for layering, or I won't do it either. I run a little hot, too, so I'm cautious about layering. But I've found that for some outfits I just need to; it's either sacrifice the dress or salvage it. And sometimes it looks cooler than if I hadn't layered.
